Carly Pearce isn’t going to stand for being bullied online. In case you missed it, the singer took to social media to call out someone who fat-shamed her online.
She explains on Instagram that after finishing a successful headlining show in Iowa she checked her messages, only to find out that someone had posted a close up of her body, writing, “Are you pregnant? Because you run ten miles a day.”
“Honestly I’m still in disbelief but I wanted to share this with you because I feel like this is important (especially for women) to see that WORDS ARE POWERFUL & no matter what, THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK and BE KIND,” she writes “Body Shaming & Bullying ARE NEVER OKAY.”
- Carly quickly got support from some of her country star pals, including Maren Morris who commented “You are a saint for blurring their identity out,” Lindsay Ell, who added, “Don’t let the idiots bring you down” and more. Her fiancé Michael Ray also chimed in, sharing, “You are the most beautiful human inside and out.”
