Carly Pearce Proud Of Her Personal Songs

Carly Pearce’s latest album “29: Written in Stone” features lots of songs inspired by her personal life, including her short marriage to Michael Ray. And while it may have been hard, there was no way Carly wasn’t going to write about what was going on in her life.
“I think that’s the only way to do it. I think that’s the only way to be who I am,” she says. “I’m never gonna be an artist that is gonna act like something never happened to me,” noting, “my fans wouldn’t have believed that for a second.”
Carly says she would have felt “odd” putting out music that didn’t express what she went through, adding, “I’m so proud that I just did it.”
