Carly Pearce On Casting Fiancé For “Closer To You” Video

Carly Pearce’s fiancé Michael Ray makes a guest appearance in the video for her single “Closer To You,” and she wouldn’t have it any other way.
She notes, “I didn’t feel like I could have anybody else in the ‘Closer to You’ video just because it’s all about him.” Plus, she says it would have “felt weird” being “intimate with another guy” after getting engaged.
In her previous video for “Every Little Thing” she did some more acting, since she didn’t know her male co-star. She shares, “That was a little awkward because we jumped into bed right after we met.”
