Brothers Osborne got a lot from their parents, and that includes their taste in music. John says their dad listened to all types of music, “everything from Hank Williams to Willie Nelson to even pop music like Mariah Carey and Tom Petty to Bob Seger.”
“You name it and he listened to it, so we really didn’t think about specific genres,” John shares. “We really just kind of soaked it all in, so we listened to it all at one time. It was just music to us.”
John adds, “There wasn’t a day in our house without the radio on or there wasn’t a weekend at our house that there wasn’t a party and people had their guitars out," noting, "so music to us is like eating and breathing. It’s just as essential as anything else.”
