Brett Young’s First Music Festival Experience Was As A Performer

Brett Young has spent his summer performing at a lot of music festivals this year, but believe it or not, he’s never actually gone to one as a fan.
While Brett is a huge music fan, he never got a chance to experience any festivals because he was always too busy playing sports. Brett actually played three sports growing up and with the good weather in Southern California, he never really got a break.
“If you weren’t in season with one of the sports, all three of them had a summer league going,” he shares. “It’s the same reason I never had a spring break, I never had a summer break.”
So you can imagine getting to perform at a festival was an eye-opener for Brett. He notes, “I had no idea what to expect from festivals until I started playing them myself.”
