Ashley McBryde just dropped the video for “Hang in There Girl,” another installment in a video series that kicked off with “One Night Standards” followed by “Martha Divine.”
The story started with Ashley playing a hotel clerk who calls a friend to warn her that her father is cheating, with the friend showing up to confront the cheaters with a shovel. “Martha Devine” told the story from the friend’s point of view and ended with the cheating woman, Martha Devine, in the trunk of her car, and the friend and Ashley driving away.
The video for “Hang in There Girl” has the two friends driving off and leaving Devine alive, but in the woods, and burying the hotel ledger with the father’s name on it. They crush the car to get rid of the evidence, but it ends with a mysterious man uncovering the ledger, leaving the ending up in the air again.
All three songs appear on Ashley’s upcoming album, “Never Will,” which drops April 3rd. Check out the video to the right.
