Annual ACM Honors Features Miranda/Keith Collab And More

The 13th Annual ACM Honors took place this week in Nashville, celebrating some truly deserving honorees, with some really amazing performances. 

This year’s honorees included Miranda Lambert (ACM Gene Weed Milestone Award), Brooks & Dunn and Martina McBride (ACM Cliffie Stone Icon Award), Kacey Musgraves (ACM Jim Reeves International Award), Rodney Crowell, Kye Fleming and Billy Joe Shaver (ACM Poet’s Award), and Shane McAnally (ACM Songwriter of the Year). 

The night’s performances included: Chris Young celebrating Crowell with “Leaving Louisiana in Broad Daylight;” Chris Janson covering Shaver’s “Honky Tonk Heroes and “I’m Just An Old Chunk of Coal,” Lauren Alaina and Caylee Hammack teaming up to honor Martina with “Independence day” and “Broken Wing,” Trisha Yearwood performed her cover of Frank Sinatra’s “One for My Baby (And One More for the Road),” Ashley McBryde and Chris Harristeaming for Brooks & Dunn’s “You’re Gonna Miss Me When I’m Gone,” Midland paid tribute to McAnally with “Burn Out" and “Make A Little" and more.

But the the highlight of the night came at the end when honoree Miranda took the stage with Keith Urban, performing her classic “The House That Built Me.”

She later took to Instagram to share a picture of her with her trophy and hubby, Brendon McLoughlin, along with a cute GIF of him planting a kiss on her cheek.  “Thank you @acmawards for an awesome night. I love the country music family and Nashville with all my heart,” she shared, adding, “@keithurban thank you for singing with me and inspiring me for so many years. Forever a fan!.” Finally, referring to her hubby, she shared, “And to my hot date thanks for joining me on this crazy cool journey!”
