OLIVER ANTHONY AND VENUE AT ODDS OVER CANCELED SHOW

  • As he enters his second month as a country music phenomenon, Oliver Anthony is quickly finding out about the downside of fame
  • The artist was scheduled to play a gig at the Cotton Eye'd Joe in Knoxville, Tennessee - but pulled out over what he deemed outrageous ticket prices
  • The venue - which claimed it had priced everything to get them to the "break-even" point for the show, had offered up $99 tickets and $199 "meet-and-greet" opportunities
  • The venue warned other venues on social media against booking the newcomer, and Anthony made a statement on his socials explaining his point of view - and promising to make future bookings more affordable for fans

BUMBLE’S EXPERTS CREATE A ā€œBIRTH ORDER DATING GUIDEā€

  • The dating experts at Bumble have come up with a “birth order dating guide” that reveals the good and bad things that come with dating an eldest, middle, youngest and only child.
  • For example, red flags of dating the oldest kid in a family include they’re authoritative and like to be in control, but the upside is that they’re organized and ambitious.

YOUR TEXTING STYLE MAY BE MESSING WITH YOUR LOVE LIFE

  • Just like people have different love languages - the ways they show and feel love - people have different texting love languages, too.
  • A survey from dating app Badoo finds a third of users overthink the content of their messages and worry that a delayed response means their match doesn’t like them.
  • Badoo partnered with sex and relationship therapist Charlene Douglas to create a new prompt for user profiles where singles can display their “texting love languages” to show how they prefer to interact with others.
  • The options include texts of affirmation, quality texter, receiving GIFs, texts of service and light touch.

  • While many were surprised by the rapper's chops, Latifah has been singing for years, playing “Matron Mama Morton” in the 2002 film "Chicago"

  • The rock band said of the song "Wasting Time," "'Wasting Time' was one of the first songs we wrote for the record. We teamed up with our friends Old Dominion on this track for our upcoming album, CAVES. We wanted to have a fun rock song that would be exciting to play live."

  • We told you last week that Big & Rich were leaving ESPN's "College Game Day" after 16 years of having their song "Comin' To Your City" as the opening theme for the Saturday morning program
  • While some mourned the change and some were anxious about what would replace it, we now know what the new theme will be - and who will perform it
  • Keeping it "all in the family," the new artists on the theme will be Darius Rucker, Lainey Wilson and The Cadillac Three - and the new theme song? "Comin' To Your City." The new/old theme song debuts this Saturday at 9am on ESPN

LAINEY WILSON SETS NEW YORK STATE FAIR ATTENDANCE RECORD

  • Lainey Wilson is Louisiana born and raised, and as country as sweet tea, but apparently her stuff plays up north as well
  • So well, in fact, that she just set a new attendance record at the New York State Fair Wednesday night
  • Lainey drew 53K fans to see her play just outside Syracuse, New York - crushing the previous record of 43K held by hip hop star Nelly
