Carrie Underwood teams with Joan Jettfor this year’s Sunday Night Football theme song, “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night,” and opening, and now we’re getting a little sneak peek in to what it took to create this year’s opening number.
"I've always been a fan of Joan Jett ... I will use any excuse I can to work with Joan Jett," Carrie shares in the clip. "It's intimidating being in the studio with someone like Joan. She's a legend!"
The opening was filmed at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium and is expected to feature 13 NFL players, including the Seattle Seahawks’ Russell Wilson, the Los Angeles Rams’ Jared Goff, Fletcher Cox from the Philadelphia Eagles and more. Check out the behind-the-scenes footage to the right.
