It's Been Almost 25 Years - Who's Taken Brad Pitt's Place For Shania Twain?

It's been almost 25 years (if you can believe it) since Shania Twain had a huge hit with "That Don't Impress Me Much." The song famously names Brad Pitt as someone who the singer recognizes has got some game, but she remains unimpressed. Fast forward to 2023, and the country icon was recently asked, "Who would be name-checked if the song were written now?"
We thought we had an answer; at December's People's Choice Awards, Shania replaced Brad's name with that of Ryan Reynolds. But now, in March, her answer has changed again.
"It’s Channing Tatum,” she told the UK’s Radio Times in a recent interview. "I’m trying to think how I would sing that … ‘OK, so you’re Channing Tatum’ — yeah, that works."
- You may be wondering if Brad Pitt's feelings are hurt by the lyrical change - but apparently not. When he first heard about the People's Choice performance, Brad said, "I think we can share the wealth there. Yeah, Ryan’s a good egg, too. He deserves some love." He even added some other names he thought might fit the lyrics. "I think she should pass it on down," he said. "Maybe Leo [DiCaprio] … and then Austin Butler."
