It was another great weekend for new country music, with a couple of artists sharing new songs for fans.

While the Grand Ole Opry still isn't doing shows with audiences, that’s not stopping them from lining up some big name acts for performances. The Opry just announced that Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood are confirmed for the September 5^th show, which will be the Opry’s 4,941^st consecutive Saturday night broadcast. 

Josh Turner’s new album “Country State of Mind” is out today, featuring covers of songs that mean a lot to Josh, including Keith Whitley’s “No Stranger To The Rain” and Vern Gosdin’s “I Can Tell By The Way You Dance,” which was one of the first he wanted to record.

The ACM Awards don’t happen until September, but we already know two of the winners. Riley Green and Tenille Townes were both announced as winners of this year’s New Artist Male and Female categories, with both being surprised with the news by the show’s host Keith Urban.

Ryan Hurd and wife Maren Morris welcomed son Hayes back in March, and he admits he and his wife aren’t even thinking about whether they’ll add more children to their family. 

Brett Eldredge is set to perform for his fans tonight. The singer will headline a one-night-only live virtual concert put on by General Tire. 

Thomas Rhett has written a lot of songs for artists other than himself, although he mostly sticks to his fellow country stars. So, would he ever want to write for other genres? 

Tim McGraw’s new album “Here On Earth” drops Friday and to celebrate, Tim’s wife Faith Hill and daughters surprised him with their “first ever family album release party,” explaining that they’ve never listened to any of their new albums with just the girls.

Kelsea Ballerini and husband Morgan Evans had an unwanted guest in their house earlier this week. Kelsea shared via Twitter that the pair was forced to deal with a bat that somehow got into their bedroom, and apparently the bat won.

Luke Combs is giving fans some more music this fall. The singer will release a deluxe version of his sophomore album “What You See Is What You Get.” The new version, dubbed “What You See Ain’t What You Get,” will drop October 23^rd, with five new songs, bringing the track list to 18 songs.
