• The CMA Awards weren't the only awards being handed out to country artists last week. There was also the BMI Awards, a ceremony not as glitzy and prime time as the CMA's, but in many ways as important to artists and songwriters
• Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs were both named "Songwriter Of The Year," and shared the stage as Luke congratulated Morgan on his win, and proved once again he knew his way around a great song
• With Morgan sitting right there, Luke told him "By the way, I love this song a whole lot, man," and proceeded to do a fantastic acoustic version of Wallen's "Thought You Should Know"

• Serving as co-hosts, Trisha Yearwood and Amy Grant, with a roster of performers that includes Yearwood, Grant, Jordan Davis, Lady A, Ashley McBryde, Jon Pardi, Lindsey Stirling, The War And Treaty, Zach Williams and Lainey Wilson
• The special airs Thursday, December 14 from 8-9 pm ET/PT on ABC and the next day on Hulu and Disney+.

• It was announced yesterday that a seven-date country/rock concert festival tour would happen in 2024, and the artists involved are impressive
• Dubbed "Rock The Country," the two-day festivals will star Kid Rock and Jason Aldean in the role of headliners, and depending on the city, will include artists like Hank Williams Jr., Travis Tritt, Miranda Lambert, Brantley Gilbert, Lynyrd Skynyrd and more
• Rock The Country kicks off in April of 2024 and runs through July, playing Gonzalez, Louisiana; Ashland, Kentucky; Rome, Georgia; Ocala, Florida; Mobile, Alabama; Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and Anderson, South Carolina
