As we previously told you, a second John Prine tribute album, “Broken Hearts and Dirty Windows: Songs of John Prine, Vol 2,” will be released this year, and now we’re getting another taste of the record.
Sturgill Simpson has shared a cover of John’s 1971 track "Paradise," which was the last song recorded at Nashville’s Butcher Shoppe recording studio before it was demolished. It was featured on Prine’s self-titled debut album.
“Broken Hearts and Dirty Windows: Songs of John Prine, Vol 2” is set for release October 8th. It features the previously released Brandi Carlile cover of “I Remember Everything,” John’s last recorded song.
