Lady Antebellum’s “What I’m Leaving For” Resonates With Those Who Serve

Lady Antebellum’s recent single “What I’m Leaving For” means different things to different people, and it’s apparently resonated strongly with folks in the military.

“I sent it to my brother-in-law who served a couple of tours in Afghanistan and he was like, ‘Oh my God,’” Dave Haywood shares.

While the members of Lady A relate to it because they are on the road away from their families, Dave notes, “There are those that serve that really tour for a duration that’s way longer than we ever do.” He adds, “And so it resonates with that crowd, and I think it hit a lot of people in that way.”
