Summer often feels like a season of high expectationsâvacations, adventures, projects, and family memories. But as the season winds down, many of us feel we havenât âdone enough.â Social media only adds fuel, tempting us to compare our experiences with others and leaving us with regret or inadequacy. This is what we might call summer guiltâthe belief that we missed out or didnât live the season well. But in this evening's prayer and devotional, Jesus reminds us in the parable of the talents that God doesnât measure us by what others have accomplished. He asks us to be faithful with what He has given us. Whether your summer looked like rest, busyness, or something in between, you can let go of comparison. God isnât grading your life against someone elseâs highlight reel. He delights in your faithfulness. If youâve done your best with what you had, then you can rest knowing He is pleased. Tonightâs Scripture: Matthew 25:23 âHis master replied, âWell done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your masterâs happiness!ââ
